Rectangular in shape, it opens with two glazed doors revealing an interior fitted with two shelves. The front is entirely adorned with elegant Boulle marquetry of scrolling foliage and symmetrical motifs in brass inlaid on an ebony ground.
The sides feature geometric decoration of brass stringing inlays.
The lower section consists of a plinth with shaped crossbars decorated with acanthus scrolls and a large bronze Ceres mask.
The cornice features an ebony frieze on a brass ground.
The doors, cornice, and plinth are highlighted with thick bronze moldings decorated with finely chased gadroons.
Spindlewood core.
In excellent condition, original bronzes, lock, and bolts.
Black Portoro marble top veined with white and gold stringing. (Later)
Parisian work from the late Louis XIV period, circa 1700-1715.
