?Rare pair of sconces in finely chiseled and mercury-gilded bronze.
The stems are decorated with two winged genies dressed in antique loincloths standing on a globe.
In their hands, they hold the two cornucopia-shaped light arms, which are topped with two lotus flower capitals serving as bobeches.
The upper part is crowned with scrollwork surmounted by a palmette, and the lower part is finished with a rosette imitating a water lily.
Very well-preserved, with original mercury gilding with a matte and glossy double patina.
High-quality gilding and chasing.
Parisian work from the Empire period, circa 1810, attributable to the bronze-worker Pierre Antoine Ravrio.
